I hope you are enjoying this short series of tips for Internet radio broadcasting. We appreciate your feedback.
3a: Expand your reach.
To start with, the place where the station and listeners meet is the radio station’s own web site. However, to reach a wider audience, you will need to list your station stream on radio directory sites like Tune-in and Shout cast. These are free, however you will be listed alongside thousands of other stations, so you will need to find some way to make yourself stand out and be unique.

3b: Read the Stats.
With terrestrial radio, if you want to know how many listeners you have, you need to subscribe to expensive ratings research. With Internet radio, you can know how many are listening, how long, where they are listening and at what times you have the most listeners. Use these statistics to help you to respond to listening habits, and to programme better for your audience.
